Dead Sea Spa Magik Mud Mask

Yes, life is busy – super busy actually. We’re always trying hard to keep up with everything and are always rushed! That being said, if it is at all possible, a bit of quiet time once a week works wonders.

My quiet time is on a Sunday – late afternoon to be exact. As the weekend comes to an end, I try to ‘prepare’ myself again for the week ahead. This usually leads to some type of face mask (as well as a scrub and possibly tanning or moisturising…oh and nails and hair, well you get the idea!)

Lately, I’ve been using the Dead Sea Spa Magik Mud Mask and have really been enjoying it. This mud mask deep cleanses normal and oily skin and claims to reveal a naturally clear complexion.

I was drawn to this mask due to the claims of dead sea salt and minerals, which are known for their deep cleaning and skin healing properties. Worth giving it a go right?

Packaging: A 75ml tube that’s white, with a blue screw cap and comes in a matching cardboard box. The packaging is quite simplistic which I like.

Scent: Well, it’s not the best, but it is a mud mask so that’s to be expected. It doesn’t smell too great as you apply it, however the smell does disappear once it begins to dry out, which happens quite quickly.

Texture: A thick and dense cream that smoothes out and blends effortlessly. This makes it very easy to apply over the face and neck.

Application: After cleansing your skin (I also like to scrub before applying a face mask), apply the mask all over your face and neck, whilst avoiding the eye area. It suggests leaving it on for 1-5 minutes, however I always leave mine for 5-10 minutes – can’t seem to get myself to take it off so quickly! Then remove with a wet natural sponge. I don’t have one of these so I just rinsed off with lukewarm water and gently dried my face with a clean face cloth.

Cost: I got this from my local supermarket for about €9, and it sells for about the same on Amazon UK. Considering how little product you need as it spreads so well, I think this is quite good value for a mud mask.

Verdict: I think this mud mask is great! It’s easy to apply and dries relatively fast. Once dried, the skin does tighten slightly, but still leaves you to talk and smile freely! The only thing I dislike is how every single pore shows up so clearly once dried – not a nice sight! That has more to do with the skin than the product though! 😉

Once I washed off the mask, my skin felt incredible! It had a nice, healthy glow to it and was also extremely soft and looked renewed – like I had just got a deep cleaning facial! Really like this one!
