The Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Palette from Too Faced

Mmmm I love chocolate! Do you? 🙂

When I heard about the Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Palette from Too Faced, I was instantly curious and just had to check it out. I came across so many reviews online – all of them stating what a lovely palette it was, and as a twist, also came with a delicious chocolate smell!

So as soon as I as saw what a good price off there was on this last Cyber Monday I finally gave in and purchased it.

Packaging: The packaging of this product is so pretty! I love the mixture of brown, pink and gold. Inside the box, that looks like a chocolate bar wrapper itself, is an 18g palette that looks like a yummy chocolate bar. When opened, you’ll find 16 beautiful eye shadows. A plastic film is placed on top of these shadows, where all the shadow names can be found.

The lid of the palette also has a mirror, and thankfully no silly brushes! Inside the box itself, is also a ‘How-to Glamour Guide’ that gives you three different eye looks to follow – ‘Milk Chocolate’, ‘Semi-Sweet’ and ‘Haute Cocoa’.

Scent: This palette does smell super delicious indeed! To me it has a distinct white chocolate smell with also a bit of vanilla. Quite nice to have a palette smelling like this I’d say!

Shades: As mentioned, this palette contains a total of 16 shades – 2 large shades and 14 regular sized ones.

Large Shades: These two are both highlight shades. The top left is called White Chocolate and is a matte cream shade, whereas the bottom right is a shimmery pink shade and is called Champagne Truffle.

Cost: Generally this palette can be quite pricey, selling for around €47.50. That being said, Too Faced is quite a high end brand of good quality. However do keep it mind that you are getting 16 shades which is a quite a good amount. I was lucky to get this discounted at €38.00 (including shipping) on Cyber Monday from BeautyBay.

Verdict: I think this palette is great! Firstly, I just love the cute packaging, and the smell – divine! Apart from that, there are quite a good range of shades – from neutral earthy tones to pinks and purples, which allow for a vast set of looks to be created.

A big selling point of this palette for me is that there isn’t much fall out with the shadows, which I really hate!

Great palette – worth trying out if you’re looking for a new one to try.

Have you got this? What are your thoughts on it?
