Hair care is a bit of an obsession for me. Having grown up with very difficult hair, as the years went by I became more and more fussy with hair care and hair products.
I’ll start off by saying that my hair is quite long and has a bit of a wave to it. The hair itself is very fine, yet I have a lot of it, if that makes sense. This all means that it’s prone to tangling and frizziness. To add to this, I have tons of bleach in my hair. That being said, it’s in very good condition, yet constant care is needed to ensure it stays that way.
Throughout the years, I used numerous products, but this has remained constant for as long as I can remember and I just can’t imagine myself not ever using it.
Introducing to you, L’Oreal Serie Expert’s Liss Unlimited Hair Mask:
Packaging: These come in either a 200ml or 500ml tub. As I use so much of the stuff, I always end up buying the larger one! It’s also more cost effective!
Scent & Texture: The smell of this is just lovely! It’s a bit difficult to describe but its got a nice subtle cream-like scent that’s just heavenly. Being a hair mask, the texture is rather thick and a little really does go a long way. In terms of looks, it’s rather pearl-like in colour and shine.
Application: To be applied after the hair has been cleansed. I try to squeeze out as much of the water as possible and apply it from just above my neck till then ends, avoiding the scalp unless very knotted. I leave it seep in for about 10 minutes and then run my fingers through my hair to get rid of any knots without stressing the hair too much. Then rinse out and pat dry! Even though this is a mask, due to the bleach I have, I still apply a leave-in conditioner later on.
For extreme moisture, this can be left on overnight. Just place your hair in a shower cap whilst you sleep and rinse out in the morning.
Cost: The 200ml tub retails for approximately €14 and the 500ml tub for €18, which is why I always go for the larger one (apart from the fact that I use of lot of this stuff!) As mentioned, a little goes quite a long way so it’s well worth it in my opinion.
Great Stuff: It’s obvious that I love this! It’s also probably the hair product that I’ve been using the longest so far. What’s great about this is that it leaves the hair feeling so soft, smooth and shiny. It also very easily gets rid of knots and acts as a barrier against humidity as it really helps calm down frizz and static.
It also contains Incell which helps with strengthening and conditioning the hair as well as Polymer AR that tames unruly hair with Argan and Olive oils, which is what helps reduce the effect of humidity.
Good to Know: You can also find the shampoo and regular conditioner that form part of this range.
Have you tried any of these?
