Who’s heard countless good stuff about this foundation?!
I had been hearing so much about this that I really had to get my hands on it and try it out. So, did it really live up to the hype?
Firstly, some product information:
Packaging: A 30ml see-through glass bottle that comes with a matte black lid and a pump (however it seems as though it is only the products for the European markets that have this pump – can anyone confirm?)
Formula: As the name states, this foundation is ‘weightless’ and it truly the lightest foundation I have tried so far. It’s super runny in consistency, yet very blendable and easily builds up.
Application: Like with most liquid foundations, this can easily be applied with either your fingers, a brush or a sponge. So far, I’ve tried both the beauty blender and foundation buffing brush and was pleased with the finish from both of them. What’s important is that you give the bottle a good shake before applying as it’s so runny. Also, a little product goes a very long way and covers up any imperfections beautifully.
Finish: This foundation leaves a subtle dewy finish that looks just flawless. It doesn’t look cakey even when layered on and did not accentuate any pores or fine lines.
Shade: This is the colour Punjab which is quite yellow based so great for tanned skin. In the photo, it does appear too light for me (I have a lot of fake tan at the moment), yet it blends in perfectly and seems to adapt to the skin colour as it’s so sheer.
Cost: As I don’t have Nars here, I got this from the Look Fantastic website for €40.60 including shipping. Quite a pricey foundation, however given the fact that only a little product is required for a good coverage, I’d say it’s definitely worth trying out.
Verdict: I’m really happy with this foundation! I wouldn’t say it’s the best I’ve ever tried, however it comes quite close! (As I side note, I am SUPER picky with foundation). Although the formula is extremely lightweight, I like how it easily builds up to a full coverage without looking overdone. It stays put for a good number of hours and doesn’t oxidise after application. Definitely living up to its hype, the Nars All Day Luminous Foundation is one to try out!
Have you tried this foundation? What do you think of it?
